Admissions

Know what you need to apply to the online RN to BSN program

We offer a streamlined admission process to make it easier for you. Review the admission requirements below.

  • Official transcripts
  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA in the previous RN program

To be considered for this nursing program, you must meet the following requirements (eligibility does not assure admission):

  • Complete online University application and RN to BS in Nursing application forms
  • Complete all  admission requirements in the University Catalog
  • Submit official transcript(s) and provide supporting documentation and 2 reference forms
  • Minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale) in the previous RN program
  • Provide evidence of current, unencumbered RN licensure in at least one state
  • Students who have recently graduated from an ADN program and have not yet passed the NCLEX® exam are welcome to apply; however, an RN license is required to begin courses

  • There are two ways to send transcripts to SCSU from non-Minnesota State institutions (SCSU will download official transcripts for coursework completed at a Minnesota State College or Universities):
